BJJ in China

Last week China has given a huge step to develop BJJ around not only in that area but for sure in the whole Asia.
On the 8th of december has officialy started the Jiu Jitsu Federation Of China (JJFC) with headquarters in Shanghai. With total support of JJFJ (Jiu Jitsu Federation of Japan) it has brought all the way from Brazil, black belt Chico Mendes, who will be living in China & responsable to help spreading BJJ around that area.
For it's 1st week, JJFC has count with the presence of two more black belts Leo Vieira, that came also from Brazil & Marcos Escobar currently living and teaching in Malaysia. Both of them came to Shanghai to give total support for the initiative.
During the Opening Cerimony more than 100 people could see many techniques and videos about BJJ. In the end of the event all were invited for a trial class under Chico Mendes & Leo Vieira.
JJFC has as it's main goal to spread BJJ around China and help developing the sport in that country. The federation itself is keen to help all BJJ clubs in China to grow and make the sport even stronger. JJFC President Mr. Yamada Shigetaka and all his Team will imput all efforts to make it happens in China.
